According to Doug (teaching the SIG Academy P320 Armorer's class), the original FCUs had a drop free trigger stop pin. Because of the modular nature of the gun, new owners were taking their FCUs and dropping their pins. SIG began staking in the trigger stop pins. If your pin is loose, it cannot fall out inside the gun.

You can get the part you need from SIG. A complete stock 45 FCU will work with 9/40/357 unmodified, but the takedown safety function may be compromised. Of course, the 45 grip is different than one for 9/40/357.

I've seen MSRP of $299, but I can't actually find them for that price.The only thing that is going to transfer is the barrel, and grip modules.
